These foam discs are supported by a durable ABS plastic base. They simply slide over the stem of 99% of vices (if you got a tapered or square stem, these will not suit) to secure your flies as you tie. The fly stands come with a rubber grommet that you simply use to control the height should they turn out to be a loose fit.
A super handy product that shows you at a glance how many flies you have tied, and also keeps drying flies out of the mess and pets mouths.
