Off the back of my floating moon crab which was designed mostly for static presentations, I wanted to add another top water crab to my range that still incorporates the ultra realistic silhouette, yet could be stripped fast, slow, long, short, or bumped.
After a few attempts, I ended up with this “crab slider” and it’s achieved my needs on all fronts!
Because of its subtle action and presence in the water, I’ve found it performs best when fishing clear, shallow, glass-out conditions to spooky fish, where most other surface presentations will usually be too aggressive and send them running.
