6/0 Gnarly Popper - Ploy Flies

The Gnarly Popper heads have been an incredibly popular product since their release, and for good reason…..  I truly believe they are the pick of the bunch out of a wide variety of pre-made popper heads that are on the market these days!
They have a great action, and work with a range of retrieves, which means you can get anything from an aggressive “BLOOP”, to a more subtle slider type presentation, which can be the switch you need to convert a follower into an eater.

The all natural tail and additional rear keel weight also helps with movement, and keeps the fly low in the water. This not only helps get the best action from your fly, but it will provide optimal hook exposure while not getting pushed out of the way or thrown in the air when a fish explodes on it!

Although I had Freshwater Australian Natives in mind when designing this pattern, I would be just as confident with it in the saltwater too, especially with those saltwater grade hooks from Ahrex.
They also come standard with weed guards as well, for that piece of mind when casting deep into snags.
