Weed Fly Box - Ploy Flies

When it comes to weed flies, there’s a stack of options out there, but I like mine tied a certain way…… small, sparse, and with plenty of movement.
The reason for this is because I fish with them, and after starting off using bigger, bulkier flies that looked more like a Christmas tree and were lifeless in the water, I modified how I tied them until I narrowed it down to the size and colours that are available in this box!

Tied on the Ahrex FW540, curved nymph hook in a #10, you get a sticky sharp yet strong enough hook that will keep any Luderick from getting back into the rocks or weed, plus the box is the perfect size to fit in your pocket!
Just grab the box, a couple of indicators and split shots, then your good to go.

Their also incredibly popular amongst conventional fishers as a replacement for the real thing when there’s a shortage of fresh weed available, or simply because they work incredibly well and when the bite is hot, you just de-hook and recast, instead of having to bait up again.
