Spawning Shrimp - Ploy Flies

I’d be surprised if there’s a saltwater fly box out there, that doesn’t have a version of the Spawning Shrimp in it.
It’s one of the most useful fly patterns that I can think of, and very often is the first and only thing I will tie on when fishing the salt.

This version though, is one that I’ve worked on to target bigger flats species in the tropics like Blue Bastards, Permit, Tuskies, Triggerfish ect, and it has proven to be a great fly for for this purpose…..
But In saying that, it’s just as useful in more temperate areas targeting XL Flathead, Mulloway or Snapper, so the choice is yours to decide!
