Pilchard Head

Pilchard Head: Pushing the boundaries of what a fly can be, I designed this fly for the yellowtail kingfish that were attracted to my berley trail and hoovering up pilchard chunks. This fly is equally at home being presented to cubed up snapper, tuna or other pelagics. Weighted to achieve a natural sink rate these flies are made on heavy gauge steel hooks suitable for the strongest of game fish.
